Independent Bookstore Day!

Once again, The Book Catapult will be celebrating Independent Bookstore Day along with TEN other local indie bookstores by hosting the San Diego Book Crawl on Saturday, April 24!



The Crawl is a little out of whack again this year, since several of the stores are still operating only online due to the pandemic. While we won't have the passport & the furious stamping from other years, we are again offering a super-cool limited edition enamel pin designed exclusively for the Crawl by local author/artist and Book Crawl Ambassador Susie Ghahremani! Spend $35 with any of the participating bookstores on April 24th and you qualify to receive this sweet seal pin:

**Please keep in mind that pins are very limited in quantity, so they are first-come, first-served.**

The Catapult and our website will both open at 10:00am on the 24th. To make things easier on our staff, we will be prioritizing qualifying purchases made in-store on April 24th. Basically, if you're waiting in line out front all morning, we're going to try and hold some pins in reserve for you, that's all. Any questions about the pin policy, please just ask: seth@thebookcatapult.com



Since this is the first time in well over a year that we've been able to have any kind of party, even socially distanced & masked, of course we've invited our "in-house" record spinner DJ Pokkey back for a session! He'll be droppin' socially distanced beats on the sidewalk in front of the shop all day - don't forget to show him some love!

We will also have many of the Independent Bookstore Day exclusive items for sale on April 24th. Check this site or visit us in person that day to see what we've got! Plus we'll have other giveaways and (probably) literary trivia!
