Description

In these three compelling true stories, young animals are at risk and need help! Meet the extraordinary creatures and heroic humans that protect them.

There's Ashima, an exuberant wolf-dog puppy with a big personality. There's Ember, a little bobcat kitten lost in the woods. And there's Delphine the opossum -- animal ambassador extraordinaire -- along with her nine babies. Their tales and triumphs are heartwarming, and perfect for animal lovers and the wildlife protectors of the future. This chapter book highlights the importance of keeping wild animals in the wild, and offers resources on what to do if you find a creature in need of rescue, rehabilitation, and release.

National Geographic Kids Chapter books pick up where the best-selling National Geographic Kids Readers series leaves off, offering young readers who are ready for short chapters lively, incredible adventures and exciting, full-color true stories, just right to carry in a backpack, share with friends, and read under the covers at night.
