About the Author

Nicola grew up just outside London and completed a BA in Illustration Animation at Kingston University in 2014. She has already gone on to win a national illustration competition in the UK. She loves drawing the natural world, and is greatly inspired by the countryside, folklore, and the sea.

CINDY WUME is an illustrator and picture book maker based in Taipei. She completed an MA in Children’s Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art in 2016. Her debut picture book The Best Sound in the World was published in 2018, and her work has been exhibited at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, the Taoyuan Illustration Exhibition, and the London Transport Museum’s Sound of City art exhibition.
