Reading from their work on that star-studded evening will be Kristen Arnett (Mostly Dead Things), Sarah Rose Etter (The Book of X), Lilliam Rivera (Dealing In Dreams and The Education of Margot Sanchez), Tommy Pico (Junk, Nature Poem, and the forthcoming Feed), and Mike Sakasegawa (host of the “Keep the Channel Open” podcast.)
Last Exit is a new project in San Diego dedicated to showcasing local and visiting writers, providing low-cost workshops and readings to San Diego, and building community through editorial apprenticeships. “San Diego is often overlooked by touring authors promoting their books, “ says founder Julia Dixon Evans, “and I wanted to create a space where local writers could read with these touring authors and bring great literature into the hearts of San Diegans.”
