Since the beginning of the first Remembrance Day in 1919, Canadians have come together from all across the country; from west to east, from north to south and across different cultures and ages, to acknowledge the sacrifices of the men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces.

In this book, your primary aged child will learn:
- Many of the symbols associated with Remembrance Day.
- How we honour soldiers and veterans on Remembrance Day.
- How we honour soldiers and veterans throughout the year.

This book is for teaching younger children about Remembrance Day and can be used as a reference tool for Remembrance Day ceremonies at elementary schools.

Mr. Pallister, in his own experience, could find very few books about Remembrance Day that explain it in words that young children understand. He decided to re-create his 'Symbols of Remembrance Day' assembly presentation into a book to help elementary teachers teach their students about Remembrance Day.
