119 Days and counting...

Just when I thought I had escaped the cold clutches of Mr. Patterson for good...  I was on our local NPR affiliate's morning talk show, These Days this morning, discussing (quite civilly, thank you) the works of JPatt.  My many, many thanks to Angela and the rest of the good people at KPBS for helping me spread the good word.  Please enjoy the sound of my voice.

  1. You sounded fantastic. I thought you sounded very smart (I could make a joke here, but I won't) and even kind while eviscerating The Patt.

    You did great work here.

Now...about that book list to the right over there------------------------------------------>

A little heavy on the testosterone, don't you think?

  2. I'm surprised you say you miss it ;) Great job, I think you did a great job, and it was as hilarious as I expect from you.

  3. I know! This has been pointed out before. I'm totally a misogynistic reader - I don't know what my problem is.

Wait, I read a Maxine Paetro book - does that count?

And thanks for the kind words, too. :)

  4. Terrific interview. Let's hope it sways a few people over into James Lee Burke, Ken Bruen, et al, territory.

  5. Nice to put a voice to the snarky humor that I read EVERY day for 117 days! Yep I hung in there...honestly, for your humor - not for the highly anticipated action of JPatt. I'll miss it too. And I have to say I agree with Amy...how about a MONTH of only female writers? now THAT would be interesting to read about...count me a fan of your blog for life.
